TECHNICAL SUPPORT  AND TRAINING QUESTIONS

Question:  What Technical Support do you provide ?

Answer:  CompuSports offers application support for the Easy-Scout, Easy-Scout Professional,  Easy-Cut, Easy-Recruiter and Athletic Equipment Manager software products.

CompuSports provides installation support for all of the products on this web site. This means we will assist you in installing the software on your computer from the CD or Digital Download that we provide.

Once the software is installed, the publisher of the software provides "application support". All of the publishers that we represent agree to provide application-specific support for our mutual customers, and if we get complaints, we intervene. We have, in a few cases, discontinued a product because the publisher did not offer support that met the expectations of our customers.

Be sure to review your program documentation for publisher web sites and in some cases a telephone support phone number. In some cases, you will need to register with the publisher to receive a password to access a support site.

If you purchased your software from CompuSports, either on one of our web sites or through an offline method, the publisher will have a record of the purchase but may not have any contact information for the user. This is often the case when a School or Booster club purchases software on behalf of the Coach/End User.

For this reason, it is always a good idea to register your software directly with its publisher. This ensures you will have access to updates, upgrades and technical support.

Question:  What is the fastest and most effective way to receive Technical Assistance?

Answer:  We are skilled in the operation and support of all of our own products and the Playbook software products that we distribute. If necessary we will act on your behalf to contact the publisher of Statistics and Practice Planning products.  Ranked in order of speed and effectiveness, use these technical support options:

1. Refer to the manual, help file, video tutorials and online resources provided by the publisher. Publishers invest both time and money to create these forms of instruction and documentation, and nothing frustrates a publisher more than having to answer a question about something that is clearly explained in a manual.

2) Visit the Publisher's Web Site or Technical Support site. This information is found in the installation instructions and/or help file.

3) Use our Live Help "chat" feature. Live Help enables you to receive instant help without having to use the telephone, and if a support person is unavailable, the Live Help system enables you to forward an email to the CompuSports support team.

4) For products published by CompuSports, use our Knowledgebase to find answers to the most common questions about products that CompuSports publishes. 

5) Send an email to the publisher's support department.

All publishers offer support by email and, despite the problems with email delivery, it is usually faster and more effective than trying to connect by telephone. In addition, CompuSports and all of our publishers provide email support to varying degrees at night and on weekends.

Email the manufacturer directly. Most likely, you will need to check and possibly adjust your Junk Mail setting or ask your school's IT department to permit email from the publisher.

If necessary CompuSports will assist you in getting support from one of our publishers.

6) Call the publisher's technical support phone number if one is listed in the software or the user manual. Few publishers can afford to offer Toll Free support, so be sure to dial the correct (TOLL) technical support number if one is provided. 

CompuSports provides Telephone Support for Easy-Scout, Easy-Cut, Easy-Recruiter and Athletic Equipment Manager weekdays from 9AM to 5 PM EST. When a call is not answered immediately, "call back" support is provided. Calls received prior to 1 PM EST are usually returned the business same day.
